Well I was at the Today Show just an hour ago, met Al, Meredith, and Ann. I also met several members of the women's water polo team that won the silver. I mention that because I got to hold one of the girls silver medals. Its pretty heavy! The jade on the back is very impressive. I told her it was the nicest paper weight she'll ever have, and she laughed pretty hard. Very nice girls.
I was standing in the first row behind the fence in back of their main desk, behind an American flag draped over the fence. I had on a green shirt. The lady standing next to me got a text from a friend in the States saying she could see her, so I assumed that was the same for me. It was really quite fun, because I was so close to everything. I made some quick tourist friends waiting for the show to start and we really had a fun conversation and even traded some pins. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I told Al I wanted to apply for the position of equipment manager for he and Matt's Rhythmic Gymnastics team. He laughed. I had watched the video of it at work hours earlier. Pretty funny. Saturday is their last day from Beijing. I will post another longer entry later, but wanted to post this after prepping everyone.
