A Bad Idea

Its Christmas time. We all know that. With Christmas time comes radio stations that play nothing but Christmas music. I occasionally will indulge in one of these radio stations on my ride home. You know something to put me into the right mood for the season.

This Christmas our economy isn't great. A lot of people are struggling to cope very different financial circumstances. They can't do Christmas like they've done it in the past. Part of the reason is maybe they've lost their job or good ideas they had in the past that made them money isn't making them money now. The good ideas are still there, they just aren't generating any success.

Here now is my point. While listening to the Christmas radio station I heard the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song. You all know the song I'm talking about. Here's the irony. That song has made at least a few people a lot of money. Probably millions. That was a terrible idea. It was then and it still is now. Then somebody thought it would be a good idea to have them sing a bunch of pop hits. That made some more people more millions. Several bad ideas making people great money.

All I can do is shake my head. You could have the greatest idea in the world now and chances are you won't make anything off of it. The moral of the story is to put your faith for success in God, because a world giving the nod to chipmunks singing about hula hoops is no world to rest your hope in.
